I have tried almost every diet and made a million recipes, trying to make healthy and nutritious foods on a budget, or with limited resources or even on the road. I’ve struggled with all the diets and all of the restrictions, which sometimes seem so unrealistic, that mealtime can feel more like a punishment than pleasurable.
I’ve spent more than half my life in the kitchen obsessing about food and flavors. I kept at it until I figured out. Now I know that food doesn’t have to be a choice between nutritious OR fun and memorable. It can be both! You can have decadent, indulgent flavors and meals that are very supportive to your health. Know what else I’ve learned? That we are all unique and need a custom approach. That’s why it can be so confusing…all that advice isn’t meant for your unique situation.

I am a food and flavor obsessed holistic nutritionist and clinical herbalist who is also a private chef. After working in the corporate world for over 10 years, Heather realized that her passion was food, flavors and the science behind nutrition and herbs. She loves helping people feel their best and her specialty is creating decadent, delicious meal recipes that also meet the needs of various allergies and needs within a family or group. She has a Masters of Science in Holistic Nutrition and a certification in Holistic Herbalism. She has spent countless hours in a few dozen kitchens cooking for large events or her friends and family, finding the balance between indulgent and nourishing meals. Heather also is a private chef for hire working with wineries and events in and around Willamette Valley of Oregon.
